The Arroyo Art House Collection
The Arroyo Art House Collection is an evolving home for the artist’s creative work; a place where paintings, ceramics, and mixed-media pieces live alongside one another.
The artists work is intentionally loose and fluid, inspired by impressionism and abstraction. She seeks to evoke feeling as much as form, inviting viewers into the immediacy of the studio, to experience the magic of making and the comfort of being present with the work. What emerges from her hands is inseparable from what is held in her heart; each touch is purposeful. While her art captures whimsy and joy, it also offers a sense of home and reflection on personal space, safety, and presence.
Working across mediums allows her to honor the value of her own mark on the world. Some pieces pay homage to the people, places, and experiences that have shaped her; others arise simply from the impulse to create something beautiful, leaving behind a small, enduring piece of herself. Poetry, including verses from her poem, Faith & Fingers, often appears within the work, a nod to the women who inspired and nurtured her creative journey.
Much of the collection is tied to geography: the places she has called home, the waterways that have accompanied her story, and the winding paths that have taught her about connection, movement, and resilience. Arroyo: meaning “creek” in Spanish, is a word that has accompanied the artist through every chapter of her life. Reflecting these lessons and the formative experiences that continue to influence her practice. The winding paths of creek beds have taught her about connection, movement, resilience, and the balance between staying rooted and adapting to change. Choosing the Spanish word arroyo over its English counterpart was a deeply personal decision, rooted in formative years spent at a Spanish immersion school. Growing up with learning differences, navigating two languages was both a challenge and a gift. The Spanish language, and the Mexican and Spanish heritage she encountered through her teachers and classmates, gave her tools for growth, empathy, and connection, threads that continue to run through her work today.
The Arroyo Art House Collection invites viewers to witness, feel, and bring the work into their own space, an evolving story of curiosity, care, and the joy of creation.
